Former Colonel Antony Sparks was a high ranking member of the Enclave prior to his banishment for shooting a superior officer after being ordered to execute a recruit for a minor offense. Afterwards, Sparks ventured the wasteland, heading West, hoping to find his family that resided in Vault 7. He hid his previous allegiance, ventured to California, and located the Vault. After speaking with the Overseer and fruitlessly searching through records with no mention of his family, he left, assuming they had died before they got in, or that they were never actually given a place in the Vault.
