3rd Playthrough. Ignoring main quest this time for a while now that I have all DLCs. I probably won't start the DLCs til later, too.

Realized lockpick and science are the most useful. For offense I'm going with a sniper type character, so I'll max out sneak and small guns (mostly to reduce the "kick" or "sway" of the heavy gun.

Right now I have yet to get a sniper rifle, so I'm using a hunting rifle. Am I the only one struggling to find ammo for it this gun (.32) ?

Going to try and get to the Reservist's Rifle as soon as possible. Making the trek there tomorrow.

I've always struggled with keeping companions alive (esp. Dogmeat) so what I've done is recruited him and sent him to the Vault so he stays safe as possible! :) Thinking about doing the hole "Lone Wolf" sniper thing this round.

As for role playing, the thing with the "lights" in the vault kind of clicked with me. Cyrene is severely weakened by the light, as the sun's glare when she looks down her scope sometimes blinds her or gives her headaches. To "play" this flaw, I've limited myself to only firing close range in daylight. The only way I'll change this set up is if she's wearing sunglasses or a brimmed hat.

She prefers traveling at night because of this issue with sunlight, and that limits her to what places she can go. It also puts her in a bind because she's afraid of some of the Wasteland animals. I've played up her living in a vault her whole life by restricting her "courage" in a fight with certain animals, like deathclaws and the lake creatures. She's far less accurate then. On the other hand, she's good at fighting humanoids.

I always tend to do all quests in a game because I'm OCD, so this time I promised myself I'd restrict myself in some sense to what Cyrene can and can't do. For instance, I've given her a "mind" of her own. If she doesn't get a good feel of a character when she meets them, she will not help them.

For instance, she's fascinated with ghouls, so she'll likely help them and won't steal from them. She doesn't like the Church of Adam, so she'll probably not help them. She's also more inclined to help those who like the same things she does-- science, medicine, etc.

Even if she does like a character, though-- I've restricted her to what she'll do for them. Example-- she will not cross the Wastes to find a book for someone. She will not mess with super mutants because she thinks they are "people" just like she does ghouls. Being in the vault has made her this way.

Another of her quirks would be the fact she's very sentimental about her vault suit, and will not change into any other armor because of it. She has a penchant for nuka cola as well-- so her Megaton house will be littered with them.

I've also always been a "very good" morally aligned character in all the games I've played (fallout, mass effect, dragon age, skyrim, etc.) This time I'm hoping to be more in the morally grey area-- neutral.

That's pretty much it for now. I'll definitely keep updated on this, because it seems like a cool way to track progress. Thank you for looking, if you did. ^-^ Cyri sends her regards!

NOTE: I'm level 5 right now, trying to remember the order in which I got my perks. I kind of messed up on lvl 1 because at that time I'd yet to get the blood back perk and I didn't realize how to work this thing yet. Sorry about that! :(
