Greysen used Unarmed, Lockpick and Sneak to escape the Vault.
His next destination is Bailey's Crossroads to begin Operation: Anchorage.
He has not killed anyone, has no weapons and is so far searching for his father. He is going to Bailey's Crossroads to be of help to people in the hopes that they can give him leads. Little does he know that his experiences in the Anchorage simulation will alter his perceptions of reality.
Subject 2, Greysen Thomas (name and information taken from wrist-mounted Pip-Boy 3000), has been placed in the Anchorage Reclamation Simulation by Specialist Olin under the orders of Protector McGraw. The purpose of this exercise is twofold: 1) To gain access to the Pre-War technology hidden within this base's armory for safekeeping and 2) To determine whether or not VR simulations are an effective means of training complete greenhorns into soldiers. The safety protocols have been disengaged and the background data of the era has been uploaded into the subject's brain. He will believe himself to be a soldier of the era so long as he is in the simulation. This will be used to experiment with response to orders given the patriotic ideal of a soldier. Death in the simulation means death for the subject, as we have seen in our tests before. Hopefully this subject will prove to be more to us than a waste of time.>
<Subject Greysen Thomas' experiences in the simulation have increased his real world abilities.
Subject made effective use of Small Guns and Sneak during this phase of development.>

Subject 2, GT, has completed PHASE ONE of the simulation. Subject has increased his ability to fire small guns and has become a more skilled infiltrator. In completing his first mission in the simulation, GT has been able to adapt to increasingly volatile situations with ease, eliminating enemy troops of greater numbers; eliminating troops with stealth capabilities; eliminating troops with heavy weapons; demolishing AA Cannons with explosive charges; and being able to act quickly under pressure. In simulation, GT has been promoted to strike team commander and will now be in charge of a squad in a series of missions.

"This is Montgomery. Send in the Tin Cans. We are go for the attack. I repeat: We are go for the attack."
Commencing charge on Chinese Occupied Refinery.
GT has completed the simulation. He defeated General Jingwei in single combat as the two opposing forces warred around them. He maintained his cool in the heat of combat and overcame a difficult opponent. His efforts have boosted his combat abilities greatly. Subject 2 is now a well trained soldier. With a little more training, he may become a truly elite killer. We are waking him from the simulation now. It's time for our guinea pig to open up the armory and get us our tech. Experiment successful, but to be concluded.

There's something wrong. Subject 2's implanted consciousness has not lifted itself from Thomas' neural net. His original personality remains muddled within the constructed one. I will need to bring Thomas back to base in order to retire the artificial consciousness and revive the old one. The skills will remain and, hopefully, we will have earned ourselves a new member of the Outcasts. I just hope that McGraw allows this to happen. Will record again on update.

Damn Sibly and his treacherous ass! May he rot in hell with the rest of those traitors! Olin is dead, as is half of my unit thanks to his betrayal. The subject has fled out into the wasteland; left during the fire fight. Even if he had stayed, only Olin knew how to bring out his memories. She hadn't even told him that the memories he has, of Anchorage and of two hundred years ago, aren't really his! I suppose she was going to when we brought Thomas back to base with us. If he finds us, maybe we will be able to help him... but with a brain as paranoid as the survivalist instinct fueled one we programmed him with, I doubt he will come close to us again. Armor of his compatriots painted in black and red may forever stain his conscious as dark>
Day One: 08.19.77, Night.
What the hell happened? The last thing I remember is charging with Montgomery into the refinery and combat breaking out… I stabbed Jingwei with my blade: slit his throat for good measure… and then nothing. We were going to charge into Anchorage next. General Chase was there right before I blacked out… he congratulated me for something… and then I woke up in a pod, dressed in strange clothes, wearing this computer I’m recording into right now. I have a few audio-logs on it from the war, ones I found in Anchorage… and some I don’t really recognize the titles of. I’ll have to listen to them later…
Anyway, when I woke up, there was a man in red and black armor asking me to open the Armory… so I did, not knowing where I was or who they were. I planned on complying until I could leave and go back home. They wore power armor, T-45d, so I assumed they were friendly. They let me pick out what I wanted from the Armory as payment for… something. I have no idea what… but I would take it. Souvenirs for home. I took what I thought was a defunct set of T-51b armor as well as old Jingwei’s sword and a set of that Dragoon armor for future missions, but I quickly learned that the armor and the weapons were perfectly operational. Gunfire broke out and the woman that had been close by me since I got out of that pod helped me into the armor just before she was dropped like a swatted fly. I had no ammunition and was no match against the men shooting at me… so I ran like I coward to the lift and escaped.
I think we lost the war. The city is… levelled. There are some sort of mad men out here who attacked me… I had to kill them. Normally I would say they were civilians but… they were trying to kill me. What the hell has happened to the world? This terminal reads 08.19.77. Has it really only been just over seven months? I'm going to try and find some answers... God help us all.
I listened to a tape last night, of a voice I don't recognize but feel that I should... It was labelled Note from Dad. He apparently left or something of the sort... the thing is, my father died when I was young. I never knew him. The voice is soothing to me, and brings memories of birthday parties and playing sick. This man... I feel he is a caring one, one who takes care of people... a doctor. These memories don't make sense... I remember a young woman and having a sort of crush on her... and other children, cruel to both of us... I remember a fist fight at sixteen that I never had, but the scars on my knuckles from where I hit the boy taunting us remain on the hands I look at now... I need to find answers. I need to find a settlement and need to start asking questions... I suppose I'll ask whoever it is that I meet about... my father. He would be middle aged by now if he really existed. My mother always said I looked like him...
Funny... I can't for the life of me remember what my mother looked like... perhaps it's an effect of the cryotube or whatever those black and red armored men had me in... I guess I'll find out.
