Min/Max stealth sniper with not less than 92 in any skill without the use of any books. Perception is maxed early to allow for the ultimate in enemy detection. If/when they close rip their guts out with hand to hand. Very effective stealth pocket bomber too. sneak up, pick pocket and leave a live grenade or mine.

At level 10 on my current play through with this build I have every quest perk except Moiras final one for completing the book. I also have all the skill bobbleheads except Energy Weapons plus the Intelligence and Perception bobbleheads as well. It has been an easy run so far with a chance encounter with a Death Claw being the sole exception ( I ran like Oprah in a Buffet line ). I'm going to see how fast I can complete the entire game now. So far I have just under 11 hours invested. 2 hours of that is spent just getting out of vault 101.

My weapons of choice have been a sniper rifle, The Terrible Shotgun and a flamer. I save he flamer for the harder things I chance across or a tight packed gang of attackers.
